Dr. Brett Sweitzer has been practicing orthopedic Surgery in Philadelphia, PA since 2009, providing an array of comprehensive services and minimally invasive procedures. He is now bringing his world-class expertise in Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery to Southwest Florida, joining OrthoKagan in August 2022.  Dr. Sweitzer is a graduate of Brown University, Temple University School of Medicine, and the Emory University Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program.  He also completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine, Knee and Shoulder Reconstruction Surgery at the acclaimed Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. Dr. Sweitzer is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and  has continued to stay ahead of the latest findings and advancements, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.  As a national leader in sports medicine, he has worked with professional athletes, weekend warriors, and desk jockeys alike, partnering with them all to resume their activities as quickly as possible.

Dr. Sweitzer and his wife, Shannon, have four children, Chloe, Bennett, Hudson, and Ellie.  They also have 2 dogs and 2 cats.  Dr. Sweitzer knows how busy life can be and how important it is for patients to work, exercise, care for their loved-ones, and do the things they most enjoy.  Life is too short to be in pain and out of commission. Dr. Sweitzer will help you get back to the things you love.
